Self change starts with
We all long for a better World situation. Courage, resilience, and self-awareness help propel and nurture cycles of positive change. Learn tools of inquiry, communication, and observation to help make powerful choices that sustain self-acceptance and growth. Hillery has been assisting individuals and groups in uncovering and experiencing their innate connections with others, and with the self-healing powers within the web of life. Her role as guide and container-holder has helped participants on their journey towards inner discovery through Sacred Circle Work since 2002. This work comprises facilitation models that help propel vision and action. In her twenty plus years of volunteer work-study as human rights witness, community organizer, celebration artist and ceremonial sound facilitator, she learned models such as The Work That Reconnects, Dragon Dreaming, Conversation Café, Open Space, Fishbowls and Group Dialogue. The class models applied at Roots & Wings value different learning styles and dismantling institutional learning. Hillery is proficient in guiding self-discovery based in direct experience and artful practice/application. The more we study our attitudes, behaviors actions and habits, the more we participate in fulfilling our duty and purifying our destiny. Ultimately finding value in healing ourselves so that our future beings and ancestors can reap the merits of our work. The study of our shared human experience interwoven with the bigger picture helps propel dreams, trust ourselves and rejoice in sharing our gifts with the world.

Workshops & professional enrichment
I hear my Rogi’s say they know they can make better choices but they don’t. Why is it so hard to do the right things we know will help us to feel better? Why don’t we follow the suggestions of our practitioners and stay engaged in getting real results that last? Social media or commercials offer lots of gimmicks and memberships promising big results. But what if it is easier than a membership program?
Trends come and go. Honestly, they are usually predatory, meaning, the hook to get you on board some program that doesn’t give you personal long-term support.
Your experience with me will uncover the ways you miss-treat yourself. You will look at your unhelpful habits with the insight of how to change your behavior and find the perfection of you! Redeem yourself through reframing guilt and shame from past failures. Implement easy and intuitive ways to feel better with preventive, restorative and lifestyle tools for ageless vitality and meaningful living.

crowning our emergence-midwifing the Great unraveling with practices from joanna macy's work that reconnects
at Shanteel yoga sanctuary
Crowning our Emergence uses the metaphor of birth and the role of the midwife. The virus is a crown shape and crowning is the most intense part of the birthing process. Placing ourselves in a sacred container, we can work through our unexpressed feelings and let go of the loss that is holding us back from living. We can come back to life, just like spring, together. Work That Reconnects (WTR) is a process for facilitating group practices around grief and empowerment.
Respiratory Support with Ayurveda, Yoga and Jin Shin Jyutsu
At Shanteel Yoga Sanctuary
During this workshop we will use relaxing and supportive yoga postures to open the chest and rib cage. We will also use a weighted breath pillow to learn how to breathe with the diaphragm and strengthen it simultaneously. Our class time will end with simple self-healing tools to support our immune system and clear accumulations in the chest. We will look at helpful products for allergy relief and explore essential oils to use at home. We will also discuss daily self-care for the respiratory system. Identifying foods that, according to Ayurveda, produce or reduce mucus along with spices and teas that help support respiratory health.
